This great little Yves Saint Laurent jacket is an early example of his work and has one of the earliest labels dating it to the 1966-1970 period. It is made of a light wool that has a plain design running over it. It is cut in a classic and easy to wear box shape with a beautiful soft pleat detailing on the shoulders. This gives the shoulders that signature YSL look. It closes with a series of glossy little dome buttons down the front. A flat braid highlights all the edges of the jacket - another YSL signature form this time period. I love the front set pockets that give it the perfect finish. It is quite fabulous and a jacket is an easy way to mix in vintage with your current wardrobe. Excellent condition.
Fully lined in a silk satin. It buttons to close down the front. Tagged a 34 but is generous in cut
